I am a folk & decorative artist, currently living in Australia.
I started painting 20 years ago, and am mostly self-taught.
I have taught classes and workshops around Australia and have had various publications made over the years.
The ‘Over the Garden Wall’ series were published by Viking Folk Art Publications. Some copies of these might still be available. I am trying to get some information about this to put on the ‘publications’ page (link is at top right of page).
My projects have been featured in various magazines over the years.
My subjects usually have some connection to the garden. I love nature sketching and am inspired by artists such as Beatrix Potter, Marjoein Bastin, and many others. I’m more of a traditional-folksy styled painter – not much of the refined elegance here.
Most of my work has been done in acrylics, but I am currently teaching myself to paint in watercolour. It is both rewarding AND challenging.
